![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() I believe that even if the witch does give them wings, the trade will come at a price, and the transformation they undergo will be much darker. This is usually portrayed as a positive thing, as someone becoming a better version of themselves.īut in the case for the wingless fairies, I can’t see this being a positive transformation. And I don’t believe it’s a coincidence we see butterflies being related to the fairies. The butterfly’s main symbolism is transformation, metamorphosis. But this particular butterfly that is always around the wingless fairies is black and surrounded by a dark purple light. The fairies’ wings and butterflies are glowing in bright blue or bright purple, and look white. There is one butterfly that is always around the girls that looks distinctly different from all the other butterflies. However, there is one particular thing I noticed when watching the “World View” video. The wings of the fairies are designed to look like the wings of a butterfly, and we even see butterflies on the members’ backs during the MV. In fact, I believe she fully intends on cursing the fairies regardless of what they will do with the wings. However, I don’t think she can be trusted. Whatever reason the witch might have for wanting those broken wings will most likely be revealed with the next comeback. She was likely using her magic to spy on the fairies, since she knew about them finding the broken wings and gave them nightmares telling them to bring the wings to her. The opening monologue that Dajeong does in the song itself even refers to the red moon “opening its eyes”.Īnd do you know what else has red eyes in the “World view” video? The witch. The red moon that is described in the story is depicted as an eye in the illustration in the “World View” video. And that’s basically where the story so far ends, but I’d like to discuss my theories on what might happen next.įirst off, let’s discuss some key symbols: the red moon and the butterfly. So the fairies decide to venture off into the dark forest to find the witch. However if you don’t, I will curse you and everyone around you.” In the dream, the witch says, “Bring me the broken wings before the red moon rises, and I will give you and your friends shining new wings. One day, they find a pair of broken wings and start having nightmares of a witch. There are six fairies, portrayed by the members, who were born without wings and made fun of by the other fairies because of it. Accompanied with art reminiscent of a children’s storybook, we get a very clear picture (pun not intended lol) of where the story begins. The first in-depth look we get of PIXY’s story is in the “‘Wings’ World View” video. But even so, there is so much we can infer and predict when it comes to how this story could unfold in the future. This is their debut so, naturally, we have only seen the first chapter of this story. ![]() And that, in turn, coincides with the storyline and lore they are building up. Now, we’ve seen groups do dark concepts before, but PIXY stands out because of how they’ve chosen to execute said concept. So, PIXY have only just debuted two days ago, and yet they already show so much promise and potential to become an incredible group with their intense performance skills and uniquely dark concept. ![]()
